Hey Friends and Relatives,
This home-made sweet and hot chutney was taught to me by my sister, Jenah, who lives in Kuala Lumpur. My sister's personal recipe contains no preservatives, coloring or MSG, and contains no animal or dairy products either. The chutney requires no refrigeration and has a shelf life of a year, if you do refrigerate. Definitely a great appetiser and goes very well with flavored rice like briyani, butter rice, Malay "nasi minyak" and not forgetting the Arab mundi as well as kabsa rice. The bursting rich taste of sweet, hot and sour combination makes this chutney a wonderful condiment to your BBQ meats too!
If you had a chance to taste my family’s chunky mixed fruit chutney ("acar buah" in Malay), we appreciate you posting your comments on this blog. Just look for the word "Comments" below the picture of bottled chutney and click on it to leave your feedback/review.
A million thanks to our sister, Jenah, for her brilliant R&D of our family recipes!
